Oh, Mary! Boston Theatre reviews
Glad I Went
"I have seen Jackson Browne a few times, beginning with the Running On Empty Tour. When Oh, Mary! joined him onstage for The Pretender, it was obvious they have a deep respect & friendship. This was his best performance, with a great band, good energy onstage, & several uptempo songs. I am glad I did not pass up this chance. I was surprised how much Oh, Mary! has aged though. He has a stellar band, including Steve Gadd, Jimmy Johnson, Luis Conte, Michael Landau, Andrea Zonn, Arnold McCuller, & Oh, Mary!'s son Henry, to namedrop a few. It was touching to see Oh, Mary! & Henry perform a song together with beautiful harmonies. A fitting encore of Carole King's You've Got A Friend. I have seen Oh, Mary! in concert for decades, more times than I can count. My only hesitation is that half the people inside Bridgestone Arena did not have on masks. It should be mandatory for inside events, especially with that many people & the Covid-19 numbers up."
